Jiale Zhongwen was started in January 2008 by Belinda Dello-Iacovo, a qualified and experienced teacher of both primary and secondary Chinese with a longstanding interest in improving Chinese language learning outcomes. The two main aims of the Chinese for Families classes are to provide a service to families who wish for their children to learn Chinese and also to develop a primary school Chinese curriculum for the Australian context which helps children progress at their own pace towards clearly defined conversational and literacy goals.
As the Australian distributor for Better Chinese, Jiale Zhongwen also provides information and ongoing support for schools, teachers, language centres and individuals interested in or currently using Better Chinese materials.
